Basic Motor Officer Class

This 90 minute DVD includes approximately 30 minutes of classroom instruction and 60 minutes of field training. During the classroom portion, you’ll be introduced to riding concepts and then you’ll see these concepts put into practice during the field training.

Your nationally certified instructors will teach you:

- The 5 basic riding techniques for motor officers
- Proper Braking - using 100% braking
- The use of Counter Steering and Curve Negotiation
- Correctly mounting and dismounting
- Picking up a down motorcycle
- How to ride in a confined space
- How to navigate through cone patterns

    The 360 and 540
    The Intersection

All motor officers, especially newly assigned officers should have this DVD in their educational library. There are many tips in the classroom segments and safety reminders, like properly mounting and dismounting your motorcycle during the field training. You’ll want to frequently review this information to help keep you riding at your best.

Police Motorcycle Escorts

This 60 minute DVD includes classroom instruction and field training covering the Bump & Go, the Leap Frog and the Reel escort procedures. During the classroom portion, you’ll be given an overview of escorts, the pros and cons to each escort method as well as shown diagrams on how the escort methods operate.

During the field training, your instructors first walk through the escort methods in a controlled environment with mock intersections. Once the motor officers have walked the procedures then they ride through the controlled environment. Finally, you’ll see the three police motorcycle escort procedures in a live escort.

All Police Departments with a motor unit, should have this DVD in their educational library. It provides numerous discussion topics on Presidential/VIP Escorts and working with the Secret Service, working with other jurisdiction motors, proper positioning of the motorcyle in an intersection, briefings, communication and much, much more.
