		The results are in for 2009! This edition of the safety survey was answered by 864 Law Enforcement Agencies across the United States. It is broken into six sections:   Department Information   Officer Overview   Officer Duties   Equipment Information   Training Overview   Accidents There are 20 pages of response commentary/descriptions. A few examples of the information in the survey: the average department size is 380 sworn and a motor unit on average of 10 officers. Nearly 65% of the officers are between the ages of 31-40 and perform stationary enforcement 34.80% of their time. Of the accidents reported 63.55% were slight injury and happened 25.55% of the time during the third hour of their shift. Surprisingly, 48.33% of the units do not do any monthly training.
