Police Motorcycle Safety Survey The results are in for 2009! This edition of the safety survey was answered by 864 Law Enforcement Agencies across the United States. It is broken into six sections:

There are 20 pages of response commentary/descriptions. A few examples of the information in the survey: the average department size is 380 sworn and a motor unit on average of 10 officers. Nearly 65% of the officers are between the ages of 31-40 and perform stationary enforcement 34.80% of their time. Of the accidents reported 63.55% were slight injury and happened 25.55% of the time during the third hour of their shift. Surprisingly, 48.33% of the units do not do any monthly training.
