Woman rides aboard motorcycle patrol - Newport Beach, CA

Miracle on Kings Canyon - Fresno, CA
Officer Rudy Anaya, a ten year veteran of the Fresno Police Department, is usually the guy you don't want to see in your rear view mirror. But Thursday, he was drawn into what some are calling the miracle on Kings Canyon Avenue.
It began with a letter to Santa, dropped into a mail slot of a storefront in Southeast Fresno used by motor cops to write reports.
"Officer Rudy Anaya, FPD: it's addressed to Santa Claus and what it says: "My mom's real poor, she doesn't have any money to buy any presents, if you could tell Santa Claus."
And boy did they, you see the three officers who discovered it told fellow officers across the city and before you can name all of Santa's reindeer they had donations to do what Santa would have done if he had gotten 6 year old Istahar Garcia's letter.
The delivery of bikes, toys and food comes just in time for Christmas. Much needed, says Anahy Garcia. Her husband has been out of work for several months.
Making merry at Christmas can take a lot of different forms, on this Christmas Eve it was in big boots, big smiles and big, soft hearts.
Yes, there really is a Santa Claus, and sometimes he wears a black leather jacket and rides a BMW motorcycle.

The other tickets were for improper tag, one; speeding, four; seat belt violations, five; no proof of insurance, nine; no proof of registration, one; driver's license violations (revoked, suspended or lack of), six; and dark window tint violations, two.
