IN MEMORIAM.

Larry Canfield — Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, CA
End of Watch: Wednesday, November 12, 2008

At 1:55 p.m. the Sheriff's Communications Center received a call reporting a Rancho Cordova Police motorcycle officer was injured in a collision. Deputy Canfield was traveling on Coloma Road at Chardonay Drive when a vehicle turned in front of him. As a result of the collision, the 13-year veteran of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two hours later. Larry was a US Army verteran and a second generation Deputy Sheriff. He is survived by his wife, two young children, father and an extended family.

Here are select photos of Deputy Canfield from the 2009 Motorcops.com Calendar photoshoot, the 2008 Southwest Police Motorcycle Training & Competition, photos in Washington, DC during Police Week and photos from the memorial services. Additionally, there is a "gas tank gallery" of each Department that sent a motor to the service.
